The TCF IRN (Intégration, Résidence, Nationalité) is specifically designed for individuals applying for French nationality, long-term resident card, multi-year residence permit, or A1 level validation as part of the OFII citizen pathway.

About the Exam
From January 1, 2026, the Examen civique assesses knowledge of French values, principles and functioning of the Republic, as well as life in France. It is mandatory for first application or renewal of multi-year residence permit, first application for resident card, French naturalization application.

I did an intensive course in 2023 for about 5.5 months and I was able to progress from level A1 to level B2. The course is very complete, structured and has experienced and highly qualified teachers. The course is provide only in French which helps speed up learning. The materials used were clear and a great support when I studied at home.
